Two pairs of hands holding each other in support

Emotional support is very important to every individual. It makes people feel loved and valued as it also fulfills a sense of belonging. Every person needs a good relationship with someone, be it a friend, a family member, a significant other, or a pet.

Our emotions have different needs that we need to provide. It gives us validation and purpose to face everyday life with joy, happiness, satisfaction, and gratitude. Moreover, it gives us the confidence to present yourself before the daily challenges.

To give you a walkthrough, here are the list of emotions or approaches we should give and receive:

  • Love
Love is all about understanding and empathy. There are many forms of love that we need to be aware of, and we are all capable of loving not just romantically but also for people who have touched our lives more than we could have imagined.

Love is all about connecting and sharing. It does not boast, and more importantly, it is not selfish.

  • Respect
You may not be able to love all people including strangers, but you can give them respect at the very least. Respect is understanding that someone has his/her view, needs, and demands.

  • Appreciation
It is showcasing that you value any individual with their efforts – whether big or small. It validates their doings, and special points may it be opposite of yours.

  • Trust
By trusting and being trusted, you are putting on your greatest qualities. As such, many believe that trust is one of the most important things someone can give you or you can give them.

  • Understanding
Love always comes in the form of understanding. And many pointed out that if you can understand someone, you can love them. It is connecting with them that will make you understand them more. By talking with them, knowing where they are coming from without any pretensions and judgments, it is mean that you have dared to understand.

  • Care
Care could always go a long way. By caring, you are showing interest and concerns for other people. In this way, you are showing them how important and valuable they are to you.

Life is not about the earning and the net worth. It is all about the relationships you built, and you let prosper within your duration on earth. It is the reason why you are happy, why you are valued, and why you are capable of giving and to receive something intangible to other people.
